Apparently they have done some renovations but overall condition is not close to acceptable. Mattresses are very cheap and hard, most of the sofabeds are broken or in terrible condition. Some have stains on them. Free breakfast was almost fine though.

My fiancé and I stayed at TownePlace Suites in Warren while visiting family, and Meghan at the front desk was truly amazing! She was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the start. Always friendly and helpful, she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. You can tell she really cares. TownePlace is lucky to have her!

They have a new manager there who’s amazing to make sure that the place run well as well as the desk clerks lmtihaz, Who went above the call of duty when I could’ve left anything he helped me do everything I appreciate his kindness. He’s a wonderful young man. We have Mark. Who’s amazing very smart and intelligent. Very inspiration to all we have Kristy. Who’s our housekeeper? Who’s very amazing as well, along with the other housekeeper who worked very hard. I asked to say I love this place like home. They treat you with dignity pride and respect I will always stay at this hotel because of the customer service skills and I give great honor an amazing honors to the new manager, whose help run this hotel is like a family there. The swing shift young man and young lady are amazing as well. That works the desk. I just love them. I thank you guys for all that you do. Love, Miss Jackson.

I know that Holiday Inns usually have a restaurant and as such, no breakfast, but come on, no coffee?? The lobby didn't have coffee. We told I had to pay for a cup of coffee in the restaurant. What about the travelers that didn't have time to go sit in the restaurant or want to go back to their room? Yes there was coffee in the room in a Keurig, but only the flimsy packets of powdered creamer.
The pool was small-ish but doable. No hottub. Also, The pool didn't open until 12:00 p.m. on Sundays. One of the main things we look for when we travel as a family is places with pools because the kids like to swim in the morning before we leave. It appears that they intentionally made the pool stay closed until after checkout which is stupid.

This was a well-kept hotel with clean, contemporary rooms and comfortable beds and pillows.

The staff were especially warm and welcoming.

The location struck a great balance being close enough to the downtown core while still offering the convenience of typical suburban amenities.

The only downside to my experience was the lack of an available wine opener.

The staff was excellent and very helpful! The rooms were clean and the hotel provided Dove soaps and shampoos. The three star was for the location. If you’re from a larger city it was on and off convenient! It however was not located near great restaurants and the area was a bit sketchy. If you have family though that may need medical help there is a hospital very close. I would stay here again if I was passing through Detroit.

This was a basic experience, made outstanding thanks to the consistently positive engagement by the staff. Early morning or late at night, anyone who engaged with me over my week-long stay offered assistance and/or greeted me warmly. They even remembered my preferences. A special shout out to Michael and Monet... they are AWESOME despite pulling double shifts!!
