Beautiful area and property adjacent to the ageless and gorgeous JW Marriott property also. Had a 1 Bedroom with a small balcony and pretty prefect view of the Pool Area. Room was one of the nicest I have seen, ironic because it was location of our very first purchase, and I can see why we were attracted. It was around 100 in the day, and the property was quite full and busy.

The rooms are really nice until you go to take a shower the bathtubs are covered in holes and rust. We requested another room and it was worse than the first one we spent over $700 we are asking for a refund.

We were really looking forward to our stay at Marriott’s Canyon Villas, but unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations—especially for a resort of this caliber.

Despite having booked two 2-bedroom villas nearly 10 months in advance, we arrived to find our villas placed in different buildings, which was incredibly frustrating considering this was a family trip and we had explicitly planned ahead to keep everyone close together. When I addressed this issue with the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do because the rooms had already been pre-assigned. There was no effort to accommodate or even empathize, and we felt like our request was brushed aside.

On top of that, one afternoon we had no hot water in our villa. It took half a day to restore service, and during that time there was little communication or urgency. It felt like we were inconveniencing them by expecting basic amenities to work properly.

The manager I personally spoke with regarding our villa placement was not friendly, accommodating, or solution-oriented. It was clear that putting families first was not a priority. For a family resort, this was both surprising and disappointing.

👎 Key Issues:
• Reserved early but rooms were split up
• Staff and manager were unhelpful and dismissive
• Hot water outage took hours to fix
• No sense of guest priority or care

This could have been a great stay, but the lack of proactive service and inflexible attitude really soured the experience. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this property to others traveling with large groups or expecting Marriott-level service.
I have been a Marriott owner for over 20 years and this is the first time this ever happened so I’m not sure if it’s that management at this resort or a new policy.

My family vacations here every year. The pools are nice and staff friendly. You can also use the JW Marriott lazy river, pools and water slides on certain days. The location has a shopping center nearby and some hiking trails about 20 minutes away. You usually spot some wildlife in the mornings. The only reason I took one star is they use to provide more fun treats or activities, but now not as many and they charge extra now for ones that use to be free. It was nicer when it was included in the cost to stay.

Wonderful spot with lots to do, if you’re there for a romantic retreat or a family get together. Food leaves something to be desired, but that’s why all villas have wonderful kitchens and there are plenty of outdoor bbq setups all around the property. So go have fun!

5 Stars – Relaxing, Fun, and Worth Every Penny!
Had an amazing stay at Marriott Canyon Villas! The pool was the highlight—clean, relaxing, and perfect for all ages. Service throughout the property was on point, from check-in to poolside. Speaking of the poolside bar and grill—quick service, affordable prices, and the food was surprisingly delicious (highly recommend the tacos and burgers!).

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-maintained—exactly what you’d hope for in a resort. Tons of amenities and daytime activities for all ages made it easy to enjoy the property without ever getting bored. Definitely planning to return!

We were in an older room. The trees could use a good trimming to view the golf course but overall I had a lovely experience - looking forward to seeing how the rooms get upgraded!

Very nice place. Our unit had everything we needed, had we wanted to just stay in. Bring groceries and you're set. Didn't golf but looks like a very nice course. The pool area was nice, with wading pool and hot tub. Also had ping pong area near poolside. There were tennis and basketball courts and an area with grills for people to use.
Those there enjoying a legal state a dispensary is 5 minutes down the road but check local laws on places you can partake. Just because its legal doesn't mean they make it easy

Didn't stay at the resort. Just golfed. Thr course is beautifully maintained. Ice water every 3 holes. Breathtaking views. New carts. Range balls included in price of the round. Nice separate
chipping and putting areas, balls included. Staff is friendly. 5/5 will absolutely play here again.

Great resort. Been here a few times even though we live on the other side of town. Rooms are always nicely furnished and clean. They are renovating this summer as well so the rooms are getting a facelift.
Great place if you’re a golfer - we’re not. Pool and hot tub are nice - they have a pool side bar.
Restaurant serves good food and Happy Hour is from 3-5pm. Great prices on food and beverages.
Service wise for the rooms - no daily service for the rooms which we don’t care about. If you need fresh towels and such just call and request. Full kitchen in the one bedroom units with a full size stove/oven, fridge microwave and dishwasher.
Central AC that will freeze you out!
Wish there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom - there is one in the LR.
Nice dining area with table seating for 6. We’ve been here at different times of the year and always a pleasure to stay here as it’s part of our timeshare. This is not a hotel - more of condo style resort.

This was a great experience. The staff at the front desk was very nice and gave us all kinds of good places to go to. I did minus a star for the golf staff when we went to golf was not a very smooth experience but golfing was nice and the views were great. The pool that night had a movie that was cute. The food was pretty good. They had friday prime rib night that everybody kept talking about however my rib was cooked medium well and was very tough. I wouldn't recommend

This is a beautiful resort located in a peaceful part of the city. The rooms are beautiful and so clean. Very spacious, the beds are so comfortable. The pool is also great, they have a lot of activities for children, a pickle ball court, a basketball court, and a great dinning and bar experience. Wish there was a spa and an outdoor bar, but other than that, we will be back again!
