We were visiting from Eugene Oregon and going to Universal Studios which is why we picked this hotel. It is super handy to Universal and has a shuttle that runs every 10/15 minutes. The rooms were okay, the cleanliness was okay. The restaurant on the ground level is good! And the service was exceptional. The Club Lounge is super handy and the breakfast people are so kind! The bell man… couldn’t believe how rude. Most specifically the older white man with the white hair. When we arrived, we asked for a luggage cart because we had our two small toddlers in the car. We were told we wouldn’t have a luggage cart until we had a room number. So we unloaded all of our stuff onto the ground. There were several other instances that don’t need to be gone into, but being the first person that the guest interacts with, not a good look.
Just called to change my reservation and add a day and the lady I spoke to hung up on me intentionally.. I then called back and canceled my reservation I will be staying somewhere else.

Hotel located just below Universal Studios. It is decent but aging. We hesitated with its neighbor the Hilton and we should have taken the other one which was a little better located and a little better renovated. Indeed, the corridors are old, the equipment in the rooms is limited and very damaged. The cleaning had clearly not been done properly, I had to ask for it to be done when we arrived in the room. It's really a shame!

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room I was given was completely different from the pictures I saw online—it felt more like a motel than the hotel I booked. There was no elevator to reach my room, which was difficult for me due to back pain, and I was told there were no other rooms available as the hotel was fully booked. The services and accommodations did not match what was advertised.

My family of four enjoyed our stay the Sheraton while visiting Universal Studios! The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but they’ve done a great job remodeling and updating as much as they can. I’m usually leery of hotels but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this one, and it was CLEAN! Also, the food at the restaurant is delicious, my children said it’s the best hotel food they’ve ever eaten. If it wasn’t so expensive, we probably would’ve only eaten there. The location is perfect! The hotel provides a shuttle bus to Universal that is so easy to use and drops you off right at the entrance of the park. I highly recommend staying at the Sheraton if you are visiting Universal Studios. We will be staying here again!

Loved it m, last year we stayed in Hollywood never again, but this place was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect to CityWalk to access restaurants and food. I did a great 5K run one morning around the village and it felt very safe.
The pool was small but adequate.
The staff are so friendly including Angel on the front desk who helped me immensely.
Would highly recommend and will visit again.

My wife, daughter and I enjoyed are stay the the Sheraton while visiting Universal Studios. They staff is super friendly and the service is great. Great location from the them park. The hotel provides a shuttle bus that starts picking up at 7 am to take you Universal Studios if you do not feel like walking. The hotel has valet service. I highly recommend staying at the Sheraton if you are visiting Universal Studios. I am definitely going to stay here again. I provide some photos of the room and view from room and from city walk.

The hotel was beautiful. Staff was very accommodating. We arrived from out of state very early, and they gave us access to the Bonvoy members lounge until our room was ready,

Our room was large and had an excellent view. Only thing I wished was had were actually dressers to put our clothes in. We were there 3 nights.

Location was excellent. Shuttle to Universal was a great plus. Members lounge offered excellent free beverages, appetizers in the evenings, and hot breakfasts in the mornings. Lounge staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Parking was a little expensive but easy to get in and out.

Great location and free shuttles to universal. Friendly staff, very personable. Rooms are a little tight for comparable suites. The layout creates a significant whirlwind of air around the pool, even with the slightest breeze, odd, but should be fixable. Convenient parking by self park or concierge. Some very nice creative drink mixes. I guess the best part is how helpful and friendly the staff are.

not worth the hype/overall high score. if you’re exploring LA instead of staying at the hotel (pool, community events, etc), skip it. they charge for breakfast, parking is overpriced, hotel sits next to the highway and our room was very noisy.

Really nice hotel with great amenities and a fantastic location in Hollywood! The Garland has that classic LA charm and the facilities are top-notch. Staff was professional and the rooms were comfortable and well-appointed.The hotel itself is excellent quality and you can tell it's a well-run property. Great pool area and overall atmosphere during the day.Only major downside was the loud parties in the garden area on both Saturday and Sunday nights. The noise carried quite a bit and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep on the weekends. For a hotel of this caliber, better noise control would be expected. If you're a light sleeper, maybe request a room away from the garden area or consider staying during weekdays. Otherwise, it's a really solid choice for Hollywood with great service and amenities.

The Garland is everything you could want in a Los Angeles stay — stylish, comfortable, and full of charm. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warmth and professionalism. Check-in was smooth and friendly, setting the tone for the entire visit.

The rooms are beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of modern comfort and retro flair. Everything felt spotless and thoughtfully arranged, from the cozy beds to the little touches like quality toiletries and great in-room coffee.

If you’re visiting Los Angeles and want a hotel that combines top-notch service, style, and comfort, The Garland should be at the very top of your list. I can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay at The Garland for our honeymoon! The hotel was such a cool, relaxed vibe whilst also having some entertainment at night to keep the guests occupied. Our room was stylish, comfortable and very clean which is a big thing for most people! The location was perfect for exploring LA and the shuttle to Universal Studios was a massive bonus. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout - We'd definitely stay here again!

We were looking for a quiet hotel near Universal Studios Hollywood that offered frequent trolley service to and from the theme park.

The Garland Hotel proved to be an excellent option. It is a bit older but well maintained and clean. It is moderately priced for this proximity to the theme park. The staff were great and the hotel in general was very clean and comfortable.

It had a beautiful pool, a nice little bar and a good, (though a bit pricey) restaurant.

The rooms were super comfortable and the greatest advantage to us was that it was super quiet. The hotel and each room is cinder block construction and therefore, pretty sound proof.

The hotel had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting in our room and I found a lovely set of custom made one-of-a kind gold and turquoise earrings for my wife in the hotel gift shop.

The one point that I didn't like, and might justify losing one "star" in my rating, is the parking fees. They are way too high and parking is cumbersome. I suppose that if they charged less, we could expect parking to be even worse.

Anyway, whenever we return it's a safe bet that we will likely return to the Garland for our overnight stay.

What a lovely hotel! Mid century modern style with 70s aesthetics, yet still has all the modern amenities and features you want. Our room had a nice setup with a comfortable bed, the pool is quaint and kid-friendly. The hotel bar was friendly with good service. The restaurant is excellent. If you are going to Universal Studios like we were, there is an hourly free shuttle. Parking was in a controlled access area and was only $39 a day.
