This area is dangerous. There is nothing but homeless people laying on the streets, downtown Kalamazoo is dirty. The doors are locked so you can only come and go out one door. It is terrifying to have to walk around the whole building. Avoid this hotel.

We had an amazing experience using the Radisson for our wedding. It was such a convenient location, both for the included amenities and the surrounding area. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner, morning after brunch, ceremony, and reception here, and I utilized the salon for my hair and makeup. The surrounding area was perfect for a pre-wedding mini bar crawl and wedding photos. We used the Kalamazoo room, which has been nicely redone, and it looked beautiful with the decorations and included uplighting. The hotel itself looked great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. All the staff, from the valet to the housekeepers, were incredibly nice and friendly. We also worked with a lot of people while planning, and they were all incredibly helpful and responsive.

We were there for 4 nights and stayed in one of the suites. It was nice and roomy with plenty of space for a bunch of people to hang out while getting ready. Having the kitchen area was great as well. We requested housekeeping on one day, and they did a fantastic job in a very short amount of time. Our room was very quiet, and while I'd seen reviews complaining about the beds being hard, neither of us had issues with it.

I received so many compliments from my guests on all aspects of our wedding and have no regrets about choosing the Radisson for our big day. We had a wonderful time, and felt that the experience we got was well worth the cost, particularly in comparison to the pricing at some other venues we looked at. I highly recommend it for someone looking for a truly convenient all-in-one location.

Update: We returned for our 1st anniversary and spent two nights there. Our suite was amazing, very clean and comfortable. We tried Brick & Brine for the Happy Hour, as that was the one restaurant there that we didn't try last time. The food and drinks were amazing, and we loved our seating near the exterior windows with tons of natural light. There is a new hotel bar in the lobby, separate from all the restaurants. It was unfortunately closed when we were there (Sunday and Monday), but it looked very nice and we hope to try it if we return. We were also able to catch up at the Starbucks with our fabulous wedding planner Lindsay, which was lots of fun. Everything was smooth and relaxing, which was just what we needed. The valet even had our car ready out front before we came downstairs to check out. I still can't recommend this hotel enough.

Loved this hotel! Very clean and very great staff. They offer tons! Not much in the rooms move. Very clean bathrooms and kind staff. The breakfast is super expensive though. 30$?!

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary, the staff went out of their way to decorate and provide some lovely extras for us. The staff was amazing, the room was beautiful, and the location was perfect. We absolutely will be coming back, it was a lovely stay.

Great convention hotel, really dedicated to helping out the con folks and making sure everything goes smoothly. Everyone I spoke to was super nice, down to earth, and ready to help. The restaurant was under construction, and it seemed like they might've not gotten the hang of the temporary space yet, but everything worked. Not the hotel's fault, but the intersection outside has the worst light ever.

The room was great and spacious and updated. The gym was the best I have ever been too with a full workout room, pool and a yoga studio which was a plus. Debbie at the front desk at the gym was super friendly and helpful

Overall good hotel. Very spacious rooms. Staff were top notch helpful and pleasant....always willing to help out. I was cold during my stay and was assisted with extra blankets for warmth with no problems.

Was present for a conference. The Conference rooms were comfortable and spacious.

The building itself is old and beautiful, with just the right amount of new thrown in to make it an absolute pleasure to stay here. The room was very clean and the bed was fantastic. The real treat of this place though is the staff. The breakfast they provide is top notch. The menu varies but I hope they are serving the cherry French toast bake when you go cause wow! The room we stayed in had a jet tub and it is very nice after a long day of exploring the rather neat town of Kalamazoo. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here in room 4. Breakfast was lovely, and we were grateful for accommodations for my husband’s dietary preferences (he is basically vegan, but eats egg whites as well as fish). Recommend staying here!

Very disappointed in our stay, the pool was closed with no notification when I booked the room which was why we went in the first place, the bathroom in our room was dirty and faucet lose, carpet in the room and hallways absolutely disgusting. The staff was friendly but over one of the worst places we have stayed

Our stay at The Kalalmazoo House was awesome! Great staff, clean room and great service. Great location downtown across from the park. Don't pass on the breakfast, it was cooked fresh and very good. We will be back again for sure. Thank you Amy, Jeff and Ashley for a relaxing stay!!

I was very impressed with my time at The Kalamazoo House. People always say it's the little things that make the biggest difference, and that's for sure the case here. Three folks running this place are friendly and always doing their best to ensure a good stay.

It's easy to get a good 5 star review when everything goes well, but if it gives you any idea how great this place is let me tell you the only issue with our stay. Both nights, there was an issue with the fire alarm. First night at about 11pm, second night at about 6:30 am. I won't say it was pleasant, but I give credit. Both times, the owners were on site and taking care of it within minutes. The city fire department recently installed new (very sensitive) smoke detectors and a service request is in the works for it to be resolved. So even if you have an issue, rest assured that staff will be there almost immediately to take care of your needs.

Great experience! Friendly, gracious hosts, perfect location, super clean, beautiful and comfortable accomodations, delicious breakfast (they even accommodated our vegetarian request), centrally located, easy and felt safe to walk to any location in downtown Kalamazoo, excellent value for what we paid. We absolutely loved our stay at Kalamazoo House, we only stayed for one night as we were in town for a concert but would have loved to stay longer. Everything was perfect. We especially loved that they have a house dog, Kallie. We can't recommend Kalamazoo House enough and hope to visit again!

We had a lovely stay at Kalamazoo House. We stayed in room 7, located on the third floor. Lots of stairs but we didn’t mind. Very clean and cozy with a huge jetted tub and separate shower. Bed was super comfortable and air conditioning kept us cool during this 90 degree heat wave. The proprietors were so welcoming and accommodating, leaving us cookies upon arrival. They gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. Check in/out very quick and smooth. Great location with bars/restaurants/shops in walking distance. And my favorite part, the breakfast. Delicious! I will definitely stay here again. Amy and Jeff do everything right! Thank you!

Great experience! Accommodations were as described, the room exceeded my expectations…plenty of space. I was concerned about being on the 3rd floor in an old house during a hot spell, but the air conditioning worked great…had a very restful stay. The location was terrific - the street was serene but close to the action. The downtown bars and restaurants were within walking distance, took a stroll through Bronson park on the way to the North Kalamazoo Mall…great shopping, food and cocktail district. I’ve booked another stay for the fall.
