Great location, comfy beds, and friendly staff especially housekeeping…. I wasn’t able to get the woman’s name working front desk the day I arrived, but I do believe it was a manager. She was rude and pushy 🙁 other than that I would possibly stay again!

We attended our niece’s wedding here and it was so convenient to be able to stay overnight in the same place. Thanks for great service.

This is an unusual hotel because every room is different. Even though my room was on the second floor, I would have sworn I was in a basement. But the room was clean and comfortable, even though I couldn't connect to the WiFi and it was a bit claustrophobic. To be fair they ask during booking if you want a view. Next time I'll say yes.
What makes me want to go back is the service. The staff is so kind, caring, and helpful. The heat got to me hauling my luggage from the parking garage so I stopped to rest for a minute in the air conditioned connector. A very kind gentleman stopped and asked if I was all right. Turns out he was the manager and he carried my bag to the elevator, got me a cart, and pointed me to my room. When I was leaving a lovely member of the staff named Tamira looked for a cart for me, but when none were available she carried my bag to my car. That is the kind of service that brings people back.
The location is ideal for many events and attractions. I saw Hamilton at DeVos Performance Hall, an easy walk from the hotel.
My only complaint is I was told at check-in that parking in the attached garage was $12 a night. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $48!

The hotel is located right next to the Monroe Center Parking Garage, which is convenient. There is street parking as well, with free weekend option. There are several eateries and restaurants within walking distance, or you can take the Dash around town for free.

The beds were very soft, comfortable pillows, and a nice eco friendly atmosphere. The standard amenities are offered, like coffee, toiletries, iron and board, refrigerator and hairdryer. The rooms are all based on type and view, but are large enough. They stayed pretty comfortable for temperature and ambiance.

Staff is beyond amazing, professional and absolutely willing to assist. It is relevant the team cares and are hands down top setting the bar for other customer service venues.

I didn't take any photos on this trip, but the examples are spot on for you room and view; I've attached mine.

In fact, there was a wedding on Saturday in one of the banquet rooms, which was endearing to see how the party naturally flower with the rest of the hotel. Well done to all staff!!

This hotel is in an excellent location downtown Grand Rapids. There aren’t a lot of frills in the rooms but the prices are low and the rooms are comfortable. There is a bar in the lobby and so many great restaurants within walking distance. I applaud the hotel’s commitment to the environment.

I was reluctant to book because of the reviews saying we couldn’t change our AC in our room but we were able to control our room temp no problem. The guest service, bar and front desk were all wonderful and so accommodating to my party. They had great recommendations for food near us + the hotel is in freak walking distance of everything on top of being under 10 drive to most museums. The bathroom with the tub is Beautiful! One of the main reasons we stayed is for the bathroom. I will say the shower water was never able to get fully hot. Bath water was similar but was able to still enjoy it. If it was the same temp in winter I would probably have more issue.

Last week, I was in Grand Rapids for work training for the second week and stayed here again. I was just as impressed as the first week! The room, the service, the hospitality were all great! I was called by name and all my needs were met! The breakfast was just as good as the first week. Not only are there very tasty items but many healthy ones as well. The oatmeal with many toppings was great! There was plenty of fruit, fruit juices and other grains and nuts, etc. I am grateful again! Keep up the good work!

Nice clean hotel. Front desk was accommodating and friendly. Parking lot is pretty full on the weekends. We stayed for a week and our room was quiet, shower was good w decent water pressure, comfy/soft king bed and a separate sitting room w a 5 ft long sofa and a desk and dresser w a separate TV. Also had a 3 ft tall mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Daily hot breakfast, waffles etc and coffee, self serve. Overall no complaints, nice, clean, nothing or no one "sketchy" if you get my drift. If the Radissons of the world are 5 stars for $300/night, this place is a solid 4 stars at $150/night.
Hope that helps : )

5 stars all around! Front desk is incredibly nice, the room (we stayed in a king room with a couch pull out) was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable it allowed us to just pass fully out and we both slept very very well. I want to steal a pillow they are so fluffy and comfy (I won’t because it won’t fit in my luggage lol). Top tier all around!! Choice hotels are great hotels and will always be my top choice 😉

We stayed here one night on a family road trip around the state of Michigan, and it was by far the nicest hotel of the 4 we stayed at during the week. The room was super clean and nice, the amenities were great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and warm, and the military tribute in the lower level was a nice touch. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection and extended hours for weekends and holidays. Cookies and refreshments in the lobby were a hit with the kids! We now have a go-to hotel in Grand Rapids!

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. We requested an early check in before my daughter started playing at the tournament and they got us in no problem. The rooms were clean and nice and the breakfast was really good with variety of choices. The large dining area was very accommodating for our large group of volleyball players and families to eat a late dinner after playing all afternoon. Free cookies and coffee in the lobby were also really nice.
