This was a really nice stay. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. They have a good variety. The bathroom door was outdated though. The parking garage is too congested not a lot of room. The parking fee was a bit much $35. Anyway overall we would stay here next time we come to another Panthers game

Stay was for a 3 day conference at the conference center. 5 minute walk to the center. Really nice, breakfast was free and ok, included muffins, breakfast bars, scrambled eggs etc.

It costs $20 to park in the creepiest parking deck I’ve ever been in. The deck is confusing, the signage is poor, people were sitting in dark cars while I tried to juggle luggage and guess how to escape. Front desk employee Gary could barely refrain from rolling his eyes when I asked how to get from the parking spot to the room. Managed to not get murdered. I won’t be back alone or at night.

Very comfortable rooms. Excellent staff. Great breakfast included. Short walk to convention center and nascar center. Many restaurants close by.

Checking in was smooth and easy. Once we arrived to our room we saw a dying roach (not a water bug) on the floor next to the bed. I went down to check-in and let the gentleman know what I found and he told me that they were fully booked and could not give me another room so he said he would not charge me for parking during my stay. I agreed and went back to the room but when we were removing the sheets and the comforter from the bed we found a dead bug between the sheets and comforter. I went back down to check-in and told the gentleman about the bug we found in between the sheets and comforter and how we were not comfortable staying in that room. He was able to find us another room but that room was very dirty. The sheets and comforter had stains, the pillow cases were dirty, the countertop sink in the bathroom was dirty, and the carpet was stained and dirty. We had to run to target to get sheets, pillow cases, a comforter, towels (we did not trust that the towels were clean), Lysol, raid and Clorox wipes. I would not recommend staying here it was awful. The location is great but the hotel was not worth the price. I had to pay for my hotel stay AND cleaning supplies plus sheets etc. to feel comfortable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you’re planning a trip to charlotte.

We stayed during the Mary Kay Seminar. Ravon was AMAZING! His customer service was stellar. The breakfast crew was also wonderful! They kept the breakfast bar stocked. However, the evening crew didn't have the best customer service. They weren't greeting guests as they came through the doors. They weren't assisting anyone at the desk and they still didn't greet us. . . on multiple occasions. Tye from housekeeping was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The elevator waiting areas didnt have any kind of air circulating. I was hot and sometimes perspiring while waiting on the elevator. The hotel was convenient to our events. I do wish our hotel was an official host hotel. Some pink beverages, snacks and signage would have been nice and an added touch. I would stay again.

An Exceptional Stay & Host Hotel Experience at Hampton Inn Uptown, Charlotte!
My recent experience at the Hampton Inn Uptown, Charlotte was truly outstanding, and I can't recommend it highly enough – not just for an individual stay, but especially as a host hotel for large groups and family reunions!
I stayed there for a night and found the accommodations comfortable and exactly what you'd expect from a quality Hampton Inn. However, what truly set this hotel apart was its role as the host hotel for my family reunion.
Working directly with their sales team was an absolute pleasure. They were incredibly efficient and friendly, making the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with every detail truly impressed me, and I made sure to convey my positive feedback directly to their management.
This Hampton Inn location consistently delivered on all fronts for our large group. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a large group stay, or even just looking for an individual or couple's getaway, this hotel is an excellent choice. You'll find great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a team dedicated to making your stay a success.
Highly, highly recommend the Hampton Inn Uptown, Charlotte!

Definitely not the best hotel experience we've had! When we checked in, one of the room's keys did not work, they couldn't figure it out, so they moved us rooms...to a low floor by an exit door that slams harder than stone cold Steve Austin on a Friday night. Right by the garage entrance, these doors are extremely hard to open with how misaligned they are and they slam shut behind you, along with every other hotel room door. The door hinge mechanisms need serious replacing or adjustments. Please.

We noticed the new room didn't have a microwave, so we called the front desk and they told us the other rooms that had one must have requested it or were suites... Straight up lied as two of our other rooms had a microwave and one was the exact same floor plan...no requests.

The shower floors are slippery...BEWARE! My father literally flew out of the shower and barely missed his head slamming into the sink counter top.

The hallways don't have great circulation, so it's VERY hot right when you get off the elevator, especially on the top floor.

If you have bad depth perception or just suck at driving, you may run into a cone or curb and completely scuff your wheels in this parking garage. It is tight entering and exiting!

Pros: The kitchen staff was so wonderful and nice every morning during our 3 night stay. Wonderful ladies working the breakfast here at the hotel. The coffee was always HOT and full when we made some.

The location is perfect! You're right downtown with a short walk to pretty much anywhere. Great views of the city, too.

I booked a 2-night stay. I arrived late the first night, and was out most of the next day. Overall, the front desk staff were great, very professional and friendly, and the breakfast was great. The room looked clean and modern.

However, everything changed when I got back to the hotel that evening and saw a cockroach in my room. I immediately went to the front desk. They offered to move me to a different room. But as I was packing to leave the room, I saw a second cockroach. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there.

The new room looked nice, but I was too shaken up by what had happened. I ended up sitting in the lobby late into the night because I couldn’t relax. When I finally went to bed, I had trouble sleeping, constantly worried there were bugs in the room.

Since I booked through a third-party site, I was told I needed to request a refund through them, which I did. I also contacted the hotel directly. The manager did refund me for one night, but I believe I should have received a refund for the full stay, especially since the first night I unknowingly shared the room with roaches and found two of them. It’s unacceptable to pay nearly $400 and have to sleep in a room with roaches.

Front Desk Staff: 5 stars
Breakfast: 5 stars
Cleanliness and comfort: 1 star

Overall: Cockroaches completely ruined what could have been a good stay.

If your looking at this place for a normal room and the location, it's not bad. If your looking at a jacuzzi tub and expect Internet, look elsewhere.

The location is decent with good food nearby, but the hotel is in a weird position, could just be a personal thing of mine. The hotel itself is about what you'd expect being a hotel, the lobby was nice. Once you get to the floor to the room, smells a bit old, which is okay. The room itself was definitely old being some chipped paint, old smell, but mostly clean being the common surfaces and bed.

The jacuzzi tub was atrocious. Not sure if it's the faucet or wasn't cleaned, but the water was basically brown. Tried cleaning it, but so much gunk still at the bottom. Jacuzzi tub not worth it, and the wifi is 1 Mbps, if you can even connect to the WiFi. -85 dbm on 5 ghz, signal on 2.4 ghz won't maintain a connection.

Where to begin. Rooms are moldy and damp. Smells like wet dog and body odor through the hotel. Mold was present in the air condition and bathrooms. Bathtub doesnt drain. The tap water is yellow. Light bulbs were flickering and to top it off we heard gunshots outside of our room last night. Do not recommend this hotel.

The rooms are very outdated, When you walk into the room is smell like musk. The carpets need a deep cleaning. The whole room needs an upgrade. It was trash under the beds and sink stopped up. Only thing good is location because it near everything. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this location it’s way better Hilton garden inn or Hilton properties in general. The people at the front desk was friendly and welcoming but need to hire better housekeepers.

Y'all would not believe it when I tell you that I got married at this hotel!! My husband and I were looking to elope in a nice, simple spot and this hotel was perfect. I submitted my application for our event to be hosted here, and they responded the same day. I spoke with sales and events. A lady named Sabrina and Kristen worked with me along the way and they were super helpful and patient. They had a table for food if I needed, and they made sure my officiant had everything she needed to perform the ceremony. I also spoke with a guy named Blake a couple of times and he was so nice, respectful, and helpful. Literally everyone I met along the way gave amazing customer service, and that’s just 1 reason why I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book a stay. The night before our big day, the hotel staff allowed us to come in and decorate - which was extremely helpful as it took the stress off of us the day of our elopement. There were a total of 10 people in the room including our photographer and officiant and the space was more than enough. We booked Ivy Room A. We bought decorations off Amazon, told our families where to go, and got married within 30 minutes. Everything was within our budget and everything worked perfectly.

Updated Review 04/28/25: Upon stepping out of the shower of room 223 on Saturday evening I managed to cut my foot on very sharp carpet tacks that were invisible to the eye yet protruding from the floor between the bathroom tile and hallway carpet. After addressing the pain and the bleeding I had to rush to get ready for a wedding but upon returning to the hotel around 9 pm that evening we stopped at the front desk to let the two associates who were working at the time know what had happened. One associate with headphones just stared at me and clearly couldn't be bothered to remove the buds from her ears so that I could communicate with her while the other stated that we needed to address this with a manager in the morning. That following morning we tried to do just that but were informed a manager wasn't available. Needless to say I have dropped my review from 3 out of 5 to 1 out of 5 stars. In all my decades of travel this is by far one of the worst experiences I've had yet. I'm still in disbelief at the condition of our room and how ownership of this Hilton managed hotel even deems it acceptable to rent rooms in this condition.

Original Review 04/25/25: We actually just checked in this afternoon and I’m a bit surprised at the overall condition of the rooms, especially as someone who has been in corporate hospitality for well over two decades and have seen the best and worst in the hotel industry. The furniture is faded and damaged, the phone with sticky keys didn't work to call our mom's room, the pillows are deceivingly fluffed for appearance but flat, the bathroom is dark and dreary with peeling wallpaper, disintegrating grout between dingy tiles and the popcorn ceilings convey an old worn out hotel (I have attached some photos). After an excruciatingly long day of traveling we just wanted to rest a little. We love Hilton and the staff check-in staff was very nice but this hotel needs a deep clean and a renovation. Some added insulation between rooms would also be helpful. Guess we will have to catch up on rest when we return home.

The hotel room was out dated, but it is very well-maintained and managed, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

The highlight of my one night stay was definitely the breakfast! The scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious—so fluffy and flavorful. What made the experience even better were the staff members serving breakfast. They were incredibly thoughtful, caring, and warm-hearted, always making sure guests were happy and well taken care of. Their kindness truly stood out and added a special touch to my mornings.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and fantastic breakfast.
