I have stayed at this property several times, and every single time it is wonderful. All requests from Plat Am Exp FHR were honored: early check in, late checkout, etc. ( I did not want an upgrade as I like the balcony rooms.). Staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and hospitable. Thank you especially to Demetrius at the front desk and Mimi in Astor Court--they are wonderful. High prices, sure, but worth it.
After driving 12 hours from Houston my family received some of the best sleep and care we could have ever believed possible. Besides the beautifully appointed room the attention to detail by the staff was unlike anywhere else.
We were especially moved by the warm and caring send-off from Stan. He takes pride in his job and does it with panache.
Beautiful hotel! And the only reason I'm giving it four stars it's because of the service when we went to breakfast. I also don't think they put much emphasis in our status, Titanium doesn't seem to mean much to the staff. Everyone has been accommodating and nice and honestly, I wasn't going to even write a review, but I was really extremely disappointed with the level of service Our waitress Jennifer provided. Everyone at the restaurant was unbelievably welcoming, and very nice. However, she definitely had this crappy attitude and walked by us countless times, and I had to literally tell her to take her plate when it was completely empty. She Rarely checked on us, And by the time she came, and got the other plate I had already put it under another one, and just had this mean, look on her face like she was just annoyed to be at work. I think she is a kind of worker that needs to be working at the Cracker Barrel, and not the St. Regis. I don't think any of us come here spending amounts of money, or Points for that matter to get that kind of attitude. Well, I understand. We all have our bad days. She really needs to understand who she works for and the location She works for. I know I sound like a snob, but I'm not very forgiving when you spend decent money. Or like I said Points for that matter to get that attitude. I know I have never received this level of crappy treatment at the Ritz Carlton.
I love the hotel but I've never been to another Marriott property that's quite so stingy/strategic about avoiding upgrades. That being said, it's still one of my favorite places to stay. Just beware that loyalty doesn't matter to them. I've visited both as Ambassador and titanium. They have a lot of money floating around so I understand it from a business perspective... To be fair though the Ritz in Atlanta is somewhat similar in that regard so it may just be an Atlanta thing. I've been to 2 other St Regis properties that were very generous with upgrades. Again I still LOVE the hotel and will be back... just temper your expectations. And it's not an availability issue because they will call and offer to let you pay for an upgrade in order to keep it out of chat texts where Marriott can see it. I love the accommodations and the room I stayed in, it's the tactics that need to be improved. Honesty is a highly valued attribute.
This hotel is fabulous and I have stayed here a few times!!! It is SO luxurious and the staff is wonderful. I stayed for several nights to visit various local businesses regarding building a home. Most were within walking distance to a 10 minute drive frim the hotel which was great. Mimi and Jia took care of me for breakfast almost every morning. What a way to start the day!! These ladies as well as the other restaurant staff went out of their way to take extremely great care of the guests. Their happy dispositions, smiling faces, and graciousness each morning were absolutely infectious! I've never seen people appear to love their jobs as much as these lovely women. I felt SO spoiled, I did not want to leave! I can't wait to come back!! It truly feels like my home away from home.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here while in town for my solo birthday trip. I booked a King Suite, and everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained.
My only small gripe is that the room didn’t have a microwave or freezer, which would’ve been a nice added convenience.
That said, the service was fantastic across the board—from room service to the front desk and bar staff. A special shoutout to Notasha (hopefully I’m spelling that right)—she was incredibly welcoming and made my stay even more enjoyable.
I enjoyed the spa & the service there was incredible as well. I received a facial and full body detox! Definitely recommend!
Overall, a great experience. Would definitely stay here again!
I recently brought my family to the Starling Hotel in Midtown Atlanta to celebrate my mom’s 81st birthday on July 26, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay special. A huge shoutout to the manager, Dervin — he was exceptional! Our reservations through Booking.com had some major issues, but Dervin handled everything swiftly and professionally, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and enjoyable weekend for us. The hotel’s restaurant was fantastic, with great food, music (DJ), and a lively atmosphere that transforms into a club on the weekends — such a fun vibe! Plus, the second-floor food courtyard opens up to Colony Square, offering a wonderful variety of dining options just steps away. The room itself was spotless, super comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of celebrating. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff serving it were friendly and attentive. If I had to mention any downsides, it would be that one of my bags was lost (though I’m confident it was an isolated incident), and the pool area, while nice, is located downstairs with many stairs leading down to it. This made it difficult for my disabled mom, as we had to practically carry her down. It would be wonderful if the hotel could add a more accessible way to reach the pool area. Despite these minor issues, the Starling Hotel was truly outstanding. We had a memorable and joyful stay, and I will definitely be returning!
I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service I received during my recent stay, particularly regarding the valet service. Given the hotel's "Four Diamond" rating, I expected a higher standard of guest attention.
My experience began with the valet service, which regrettably set a negative tone for my entire stay. Upon arrival, I felt ignored by the valet staff, who seemed more engaged in their conversations than assisting guests. This lack of attention continued whenever I needed my car. When I approached the desk to request my vehicle they took the claim check and never gave it back because they were too locked in to their personal conversations. On one occasion, I even resorted to calling down, hoping for a quicker response, but still found no valet checking on me as I waited.
Furthermore, it was not a welcoming experience to be repeatedly asked if I was checking out every time I requested my car. It made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a valued guest.
The elevator experience is wild. Most hotels require key card access to specific floors, your elevators seem to allow anyone to select any floor. Looks like you have the safty feature available but seems to be turned off. Given that the hotel is connected to a food hall and hosts a DJ on weekends, it appears that both guests and non-guests have unrestricted access to all floors. This raises security concerns for guests
Overall, the lack of attention to guest service, particularly from the valet team, and guest safety via the elevator I was not impressed. This is not what I would expect from a 4 diamond hotel
The location and atmosphere is great but the service and food sucked. If you’re looking for nice and accommodating and enjoy ordering room service this may not be the place! Gym has everything you need but isn’t particularly inviting.
the perfect choice for me, its cheap compared to all the things that they give you, the hotel is amazing I love all the vibe and the rooms are good too. Free wifi, spa, gym 24/7 and outdoor pool. Quiet place and great view. But I didn't like the fact that you don't have Spotify or Apple Music in the TV. Also the bathroom always had this spot that they never cleaned, and the elevator is kind of annoying. Room service is good
One of my favorite hotel stays! Usually I book an airbnb but wanted the amenities of a hotel for this stay & so glad I booked here. Everyone from Harold the maintenance/engineer who gave me a charger when I lost mine, to the valet, the wait staff & overlall everyone who worked here were amazing & made my stay comfortable. Food was delicious & many little spots to get comfy & read a book or do nothing. This also is the perfect location in midtown! There is a large, nice park walking distance I easily walked with my dog to, that does a farmers market on Saturdays I believe & many other cafes/restaurants walking distance. Overall, great stay & will come here again if in town.
7/28-7/29-s.r. Room 1502&918 Hilton OM: this hotel needs hospitality/service audit ASAP. Beware. HVAC SYSTEM NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. BLACK MOLD on vent in 1502!!!. Moved rooms, was not offered anything for all the issues, took 45 to order at the pool-bar bc the bartender was hungover(as he explained) and short, we requested to order fruit, he told us we could not order fruit and fruit is only available if you have a cabana, that’s $500 on top of your room, so we can’t eat fruit or have any fruit because we’re not in a cabana even though we want to pay for it? So we ended up ordering some other things on the menu just an odd way. No other options were offered to us. It took us a while to realize that there was a menu the pool is dirty. I had to request one of the employees to come clean up because there were cans and chicken wings, and towels. Everywhere. There is no service. It’s like the hotel just can’t afford to run at the momentum It actually needs. Some staff @ front desk was rude, short, lacked warmth. The bar is covered in nats and nat eggs, & they land in your food. Roof top bar is designated first come first serve for resort pass rather then guests. The spa is practically unused and money hungry, charged me $142.03 days before my birthday, for canceling the appointment even though I went down there earlier & offered to reschedule And they told me that they were closed tomorrow and then if it reschedules to any other day that it will charge me the full amount, there’s nothing that they could do. I proceeded to continue my day of festivities and went out to multiple places, came back at ONE in the morning abbreviated, they refused to let me into my room, not even offering me to grab anything out of the room if I needed to. I started to have a panic attack. I couldn’t transfer money until the morning seeing that it was Sunday night. I had to scrape up $142 so that I could go to sleep, in a city that I do not live.A safe haven you believe, while on your vacation or time away. Is ruined in the middle of the night by a last-minute incidental. A fee of cancellation not even the actual service was given. Hilton, this is absolutely sick & disheartening. Lacks empathy, compassion. Really broke my heart and brought me tears. Caused so much suffering and emotional distress. As I continue to pay the $142, they also were handling a different issue talking about Security and not even really paying attention or giving me that personable touch. And the manager was chuckling with the front desk attendant, anytime I would step away and turn around. I would hear them laughing. Such a dehumanizing experience. No one asked or offered any type of incentive or complementary breakfast. Or even late checkout. It’s just lack so much charm here. LAZ, great hospitality. This hotel is weird. Needs to be audited!!!!! AUDIT!!! Get in here OM HILTON!!!!!! these new 5 star have to be fake or made by staff, bc it’s impossible. ALSO CUT MY FINGER IN THE METAL LINING ON WINDOW GLASS NEXT TO DAY BED
We had a lovely stay. The hotel has a great location and offers fantastic service. The rooms are nice, but starting to feel a bit worn. However, the excellent service more than made up for it. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming especially Nitosha, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Thank you❤️
This hotel was by far the best one i stayed in yet. They text you and make sure everything is going okay with your stay. They don't have microwaves in the rooms but they are available upon request, and we had someone bring it to our room. They do room service and have a food court service inside the hotel. Ipic theatres is right along it as well. It's alot to do inside of the area. They even have a safe/lock box inside the room. The only down side i have is the shower door is half way covered so we had to put towels down so the floor didn't get wet. The elevators are high tech, you push a button to the floor you want and you get on the corresponding letter, But all in all i would definitely stay again
Overall enjoyed our stay and the eclectic vibe and atmosphere, I have no complaints! I wanted to share how impressed and grateful we were for the valet service we received from Edy during our stay.
From the moment we arrived, Edy made us feel welcomed. He was not only attentive but also incredibly personable. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the people he serves.
Whether it was offering helpful suggestions, or simply engaging, Edy consistently went above and beyond, even escorting us to our car with an umbrella in hand in the pouring rain!
Employees like Edy make all the difference. His attention to detail, kindness, and authentic hospitality stood out in the best way, and I wanted to be sure his efforts were recognized.
Thank you for having someone like Edy on your team as he represents your establishment with excellence.
